How reports work

GSA reports read straight from your live records, giving you one shared engine and a catalogue of around 30 reports across compliance, site access, attendance and people. Nothing is re-keyed, so what you pull matches what the platform holds.

This guide covers:

  • Understanding the shared reporting engine that every report draws on
  • Choosing a report from the catalogue by the area it serves
  • Applying the filters a report needs before it runs
  • Reading results scoped to your role — your sites’ rows, or an employer’s own workers
  • Recognising what reports are not: tabular data, English (Australian), with a render timeout

Set your filters once and the same view runs on demand or on a schedule.

💡 Power User Insight: A report needs filters before it will scan — a deliberate guard against a whole-database sweep. Narrow the scope first and results return within the timeout.
