Booking induction dates during onboarding

Booking induction dates during onboarding sets when a worker attends their induction, chosen from the live list of sessions with seats left. It fills the schedule as part of the application, so the day is locked in before anyone travels.

This guide covers:

  • Opening the preferred-induction-date step, usually completed by the employer admin
  • Reading the live list, filtered by the workflow’s allowed event types and a lead-time cutoff
  • Taking a first and second preference from sessions that still have capacity
  • Recording the worker’s expected arrival date as a separate planning input

Pick from the capacity-checked list and the booking is real the moment it is saved.

💡 Power User Insight: Both preferences book against capacity, and re-saving new dates does not release the old reservations. An administrator clears the old ones, so until then they still occupy seats.
