Recording outcomes and closing an event

Recording outcomes captures what each attendee attained, and closing the event turns those attainments into training records. It is the step that feeds the induction day straight into the compliance picture, dated and evidenced.

This guide covers:

  • Recording an outcome against each skill the event teaches — attained, not attained or undecided
  • Resolving every attendee’s attendance and every skill outcome before close
  • Closing the event so attained skills land as training records on each worker’s profile, dated to the event
  • Updating an existing record and writing a training history record where the day is a renewal

Close the event and the attainments reach each profile automatically, with no re-keying.

💡 Power User Insight: An event will not close until every attendee and every skill is resolved, so no half-finished records can slip through. If the event was billable, invoicing runs alongside the close.
