Fatigue rules

Fatigue rules check a worker’s recorded hours against safe limits and act at the gate when a limit is breached. They base enforcement on real swipe hours rather than what a roster claims, so tiredness risk is caught at the point of entry.

This guide covers:

  • Capping hours worked within a rolling window
  • Limiting how early before a rostered shift a worker may swipe in
  • Setting a minimum off-site rest gap between visits
  • Choosing who is notified and whether a breach blocks the next swipe

Set the thresholds once and the checks run continuously against recorded hours.

💡 Power User Insight: Fatigue rules are deployment-wide, not per site — a client with several sites shares one set of thresholds. Enforcement needs a WinDsx integration; pre-entry and rest-gap checks read against the rostered pattern.
