How site access works

Site access is the live link between a worker’s compliance state and whether their card opens the gate. It moves the gate from a paper check to an enforced one, so a lapsed or unapproved worker is stopped at the swipe rather than found later.

This guide covers:

  • Assigning a card and reaching full approval, which puts that card’s access into effect
  • Recording every swipe in and out at the gate
  • Pairing swipes into on-site sessions that drive presence and fatigue
  • Reflecting a lapse, termination or role change straight through to the card

Configure your locations and rules once, and a worker’s access tracks their status without manual intervention.

💡 Power User Insight: The full presence, fatigue and exposure-hours picture needs a WinDsx integration. On Gallagher, GSA provisions the card but reads nothing back.
